On this episode of The 90s Rewind Report, hosts Michael & Nate proudly embrace their inner “back in my day” energy for a trip down memory lane. "Halloween Back in Our Day..." Remember those 1990s Halloweens when costumes came from the drugstore aisle, candy trading was serious business, and you actually had to walk door-to-door for your sugar haul? The guys compare old-school Halloweens of the ’90s to the modern-day trunk-or-treat era — poking fun at how convenience has replaced chaos, and how somewhere along the way, spooky got a little too safe. Grab your plastic pumpkin pail and join in as they prove that sometimes, the old ways really were the best (or at least, the stickiest). 🎃

This week’s episode wasn’t exactly what Michael & Nate had planned. We were finally ready to unleash a spooky-season kickoff we first recorded back in Season 1—but after a year of delays, tech issues, and more do-overs than a haunted VHS tape, the episode just would not cooperate. At this point, we’re convinced it’s cursed. 👻
So instead, host Michael Reagan thought it was the perfect time to turn the mic toward our listeners who might be thinking of starting a podcast themselves. After two seasons, 40 episodes, and plenty of lessons learned the hard way, Michael is sharing everything he has picked up along his own podcast journey—the good, the bad, and the “did that file really just delete itself?” moments.

In this episode of the 90s Rewind Report, Hosts, Michael Reagan, Nate Lane, & Brayden Decker rewatch Freaks and Geeks - Season 1 Episode 2 "Beers and Weirs; which originally aired October 2, 1999. Lindsay is eager to prove herself to her new friends—the “freaks”—so she volunteers to host a party while her parents are out of town. To impress everyone, she plans to serve beer, but her conscience nags at her, especially when her younger brother Sam and his “geek” crew catch wind of the situation. Desperate to protect Lindsay, Sam, Neal, and Bill devise a clever plan: they secretly replace the keg with one filled with non-alcoholic beer. The result? A room full of teens convinced they’re drunk while the geeks sit back and watch.
